About Black Sheep
Why the name BLACK SHEEP BASKETS?
Peg and Allan Lynch have always had dogs. First Shelties, and then, Border Collies became their passion. Peg, an elementary school teacher, and Allan a hospice R.N., were looking for an activity to use for stress relief. In Pennsylvania, they raised and trained many working border collies for trial competition and ranch work. At Lynch Mob Farm they had about 150 head of Katahdin and Dorper sheep to use for training. Being cancer survivors, The Lynch Mob Family donated their free time to pet therapy and stock dog demonstrations.
Both Peg and Allan have been the “black sheep” of their families. So, when they moved to Colorado with their dogs, by way of South Dakota, they wanted to start a home business. Mountain Trail Baskets in Pennsylvania was excited to have them distribute their working baskets. “Black Sheep Baskets” became their business name..
The Custom Laser Engraving was added later. It has sparked their creative sides. Most of the products they laser are one-of-a-kind. They always add that little something that sets them apart from the rest. Their shop finds new and unusual materials to laser. They also try and recycle something old into a new usable product.. Their mission has always been top quality products at a reasonable price. So, Black Sheep Working Baskets and Custom Laser Engraving of Colorado is now the business they share with Joe and Tip, their border collies, Skip and Mackenzie, their shelties.
